Looked through all threads before posting. Please excuse if I missed thread covering this.
I have a 2001 Odyssey EX (163,257 miles). Recently it has developed a shudder when starting. Shudder goes away 5-10 seconds after vehicle starts, but engine idle sounds funny. No shudder when driving just upon starting. Racking my brain here. Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

Check the motor mounts. There are 3 of them.

Other checks are spark plugs, coils, and EGR valve.

The front engine mount is computer-controlled. Normally it is 'uncoupled' when first starting so the engine vibrations do not transfer to the vehicle. When at higher rpm, it becomes 'coupled'. If the vibrations are being felt, either the engine is misfiring badly (and should throw a code/check engine light) or the front mount is no longer uncoupling.
