Had this problem on my 2003 ~160,000 miles; it was a coil pack. Changed the one, and now have 245,000 miles and still running smoothly!

By now a code reader has identified the specific problem and has determined which part is malfunctioning - right?

Replacing fuinctonal parts is not necessary - only replace the malfunctioning part. Chancea are the rest of them will not fail. I never had to replace a coil pack on any of the six or eight Honda products I worked on or owned - or on any other brand, for that matter.

I took it to a friend of mine who owns a shop and he found that it was the #6 coil pack that was making all of the cylinders misfire. When he replaced that one it was fixed. Cost $225 instead of the one estimate of having the valves adjusted which was over $600
Thanks for all of the repies you all are great!!
