I have a 05 Odyssey EXL I purchased Oct 2004, loved it pretty much no problems I have 270,000 miles on it.

I now have a 2011, so I didn't use it for about 5 months. Put a new battery in it the radio id code worked great but the Nav screen doesn't respond to my touch.

anybody have any suggstions as to what I can do ?

its like the screen doesn't know my fingers are touching the screen.

can anyone please give me some advice?

I want to sell the van but I need to get the Nav system working.

please give me some help with this I need some ideas.

Thanks

Have you tried going into the settings screen? IIRC, there's something in there for touchscreen settings, although its been a while since I've been in there. press the MAP/Guide + Cancel + Menu buttons at the same time and hold it for about 5 seconds. Not sure if you'll be able to press any of the touchscreen buttons once you get into that mode, but its worth a shot.

If you can't press any buttons on the screen, you may want to try to confuse the system by pulling the navi dvd out (turn key off for a little while before doing this), turning the key on, wait for the missing disc error, then reinserting the dvd. This should force the unit to read the disc, set the system up and maybe get the touchscreen to also reset.

Good luck!
