My '05 has 108,000 miles on it. Had it in at 50,000 to complain about a noise and shudder. This happens when the rpm's shift down to 1,500 or so, usually between 30-35 mph and in mid 40's. It only happens when accellerating slowly. They were going to replace the tranny at 50,000 miles be decided that was not the cause. Here we are out of warranty and the judder is becoming more significant. IT does it intermittently. OF course, the honda dealer indicates that it is a torque converter (something I never heard while under warranty) and possibly a tranny. Problem is, dealer says they cannot emulate the issue, even though they are sure it is a torque converter from the details I have provided.

So, any help out there on their on 05's? Any help on how to deal with the dealership? Why are "05's absent from the service bulletins and other Honda publications regarding this judder and tranny problem? From what I've been told, they have not done anything different to the tranny between 05 adn 07, and 07 are included? HELP!

Print out Honda Tech Line Summary Article ATS100201 and bring it to the dealer's attention. They can capture a snapshot of the judder with the HDS tablet when it occurs.

I had the same problem in my 05.. After reading posts here I change the tranny fluid and replaced with Amsoil synthetic. I used the flushing method used here on the forum and went through 12 quarts of fluid. We have put about 2K miles on it and no judder!!!! I cannot believe how much better it is and only spent about $100 on fluid!!
