I have seen the 05-06 tube type cooler and agree that almost anything else would work better. The newer 2007-10 style is a stacked plate design. To me for ease of bolting it in place and having all the tubes, clamps, screws, ect ect for $169 seems like a good investment so I don't waste a whole day on making an aftermarket cooler fit.

And I did use the search to look up what I want to know.

Again I ask has someone put an 2007-10 Honda trans cooler kit on an 2005-06?

For anyone who is intrested I completed the install of a 07-10 trans cooler kit in my 06.

Honda part # 06255-RGL-305 and paid $169.33 for the kit from Majestic honda in RI.

It went in without a hitch but I had to reuse and shorten one of the original hoses.

For the money and ease of install it seemed to be a good value for someone who does not have facilites to fab or experience to make the required brackets.

I just didn't feel like messing with the fab part.

Also the Honda cooler is all aluminum. It is also a 6 row stacked plate plate design.

So this part number is all I need? All the parts come with it?

Yes, all the parts come with it.

The cooler assembly already mounted to the bracket
3 - 6mm x 12mm bolts
1 - 6mm nut
6 hose clamps
1 - 320mm long hose
1 - 370 mm long hose
1 - 220 mm long hose
2 - plastic hose mounting clips
1 - plastic back to back hose clip

I did not use the 220mm long hose and I had to drill one hole for one of the 6mm bolts. I also reused one of the original trans lines and cut it shorter to fit. I beleive i read one of the radiator lines connects closer to the corner of the radiator and the 05-06 line connects differently.

The one thing I had to figure out was which line off the trans was the feed line to the radiator cooler. this was not clear in either 05-06 or 07-10 trans cooler installation instructions. So I placed a length of hose on each line on the transmission and routed them down to the drain pan and cranked the motor. The one with fluid comming out of it is the line that should connect to the far (passenger) side of the radiatior. The small stub on the drivers side connects to the bottom (370mm) hose of the trans cooler. The top hose of the trans cooler (320mm) connects to the remaining line on the trans.

It was simple and i'm happy with the quality of the oem unit.

How'd the installation work?...did you also update the P/S cooler?

I'm planning to do this same thing to our '06 Odyssey EX-L. Did you also replace the power steering cooler:
Heavy-Duty P/S Cooler Kit (sold separately)
P/N 53765-SHJ-325

or were you able to install the tranny cooler (# 06255-RGL-305) with the factory installed power steering cooler lines?

Is there normally a tube that runs back and forth in front of the radiator... (non-finned tube)?
Yes, By the looks of it (S shape) it's designed to cool as well.

I was actually pretty impressed with the PS cooler now that I have it in my hands. Nicely built and with more cooling surface than I would have guessed based on the drawings I saw. Still overpriced but I figure part of that is engineering cost for the specific application.
