I'm looking at a great buy on an '07 Odyssey EX-L w/RES. The only thing it doesn't have as far as I can tell is the NAV system (no screen up front).

Do you all find that feature something you can't live without? Any comments on the '07's that I need to be aware of?

I'm buying it with 34k miles on it and in a few years hope to have purchased a small camping trailer of some sort so our family of 6 can get out and have some fun during the summers. You all have been pretty positive on the towing capabilities of this van, which is very encouraging to me.

Just want to be sure there aren't any "gotchas" on this year/model. Thanks all!

The NAV would probably be far easier to swallow used than new....only due to price. The NAV itself is rather mediocre and painful to the folks like me that paid ~$2,000 for it and find a $150 Garmin to be truly better at navigating and finding places/things. However there are a couple extras you get with that NAV that is nice....XM radio, full-screen backup cam, and on-screen radio controls. I'd have to think hard about it next time. If you like gadgets go for it but be prepared to throw things at it :stupid:

07 TOURING WITH NAV

I Have the 07 odyssey touring with the nav & 09 crv without nav, I personally love the nav on the touring much better then my garmin on the crv, its build into the dash so no setting up everytime you get into the car, & it never gave me a problem with directions or finding places it also gives you the backup camera. wished i would gotten the CRV with the nav also, but its a lease anyway. but I'm a gadgets guy anyway.

the back-up camera and the parking sensors come in handy sometimes. and you might want to watch out for the transmission and the brake issues that people are having. but im pretty sure its been fixed already

the 07's got a newer transmission so that should be a plus, though Honda does require transmission and power steering coolers when towing.
