My 2008 Odyssey is now sitting at 206k. I am not the original owner as far as my knowledge goes. Records indicate service of the transmission fluid at 110k and 173 k. My question is when I do a transmission fluid change, should I stick with the original recommended fluid in the owner's manual or upgrade to a newer technology full synthetic fluid? My second question is if I attempt to flush power steering fluid, could I just do it like a transmission flush three step method? I am considering using a turkey baster to extract the fluid from the reservoir and then filling it and running it. Let's say a few weeks or so and then extracting it again and repeating the process two or three times. Any opinions on this procedure?

No need for another fluid debate. Plenty of those already.

Agreed. We don’t want to be called a second viper pit after BITOG.
