I love my van and plan to keep it for the long haul. A tree branch fell on my side view and busted it. I bought one mirror new from after market and one from a junkyard and both are clip in. When I look at my car it seems like you have to take the door apart and wire. There is no quick clip in option. My mechanic does not want to touch it. What am I missing? Done with duct tape. Help!

On my 99 and 02 there's a black plastic piece on the inside that has to be removed. I think there is a screw holding it in place, and then it slides up and out. Then there are 3 screws/bolts that hold the mirror in place. Once the mirror is free, you can unclip the wire harness and swap your mirror.
You may get a better answer posting in the 05-10 3rd generation forum. Search and you may find threads with pictures.
Or did you just get the glass, and have to clip that in? Maybe ask the junkyard how they removed the glass?
