The #1 fuel pump fuse in the cabin fuse box intermittenly blows when I put my 2004 odyssey in park. Have put in new OEM fuel pump and replaced the main relay, checked the grounds and my mechanic is stumped any ideas?
More information needed. There are two fuse panels under the dash. OOne on driver side and one on passenger side. Number 1 fuse on drivers side goes to SRS unit and PGM-FI main relay. the passenger side goes to left sliding door control unit. As for your mechanic he aparently doesn't have the knowledge to troubleshoot electrical problems. You need a mechanic who can read the electrical diagrams and trace out the short with a multimeter. Also you should check for codes in the PCM.
It was the fuel pump assembly, had previously put in a jobber fuel pump but it was a problem with the sending unit wiring. Finally put in the genuine Honda one and have not had a problem since, pricey though $525 here in Canada.
