The rush is on for dealers to sell vehicles before 2-28-02. I just received an email from a dealership in the chicago area that will take $1000 off MSRP w/ no add's for any orders before 2-28-02 or $500 MSRP for any Ody's they have in stock.

I also found a dealership in the Michigan area willing to take $800 off MSRP.

I wonder if the Chicago area dealership is willing to take $1000 off after 2-28-02.

I have received several emails from people wanting to know which dealer is offering $1000 off MSRP. I have answered every single email stating which dealership is offering the deal.

In order to validate my statement, I decided to have people email me for the info. It is not confidential information. I just thought it would be more beneficial to be available to answer any additional questions through email than through the forum.

I have emailed Julian to inform him that I have referred several people to him and to expect phone calls and emails.

I was not implying you needed to validate your statement. I was just curious as to what dealer you were getting the quote from. Since this forum is searchable, it will be a great help to future readers. In fact, Jacobs Twin was also the only dealer in the area selling at less than MSRP for 2001 models, though when I bought they had a long wait list and it was only $500 under.

You didn't actually have to list the salesperson if that was a concern. In fact, I suspect Jim would be happy to edit it out of your post if you prefer.

Thanks again!
