I have a 1999 LX that I bought new and has been serviced, only by Honda. It has 75,000 miles.

It recently developed a small rear seal oil leak. that I will live with for a while.

So far so good on the tranny. Only probelm is that once in awhile, when I slow in traffic. it has a low clank if I accelerate to hard. I'm not sure if his is a transmission problem.

If at the point that I have the seal replaced, would there be a labor saving, if the transmission was done at the same time? Or are these different issues?
Thanks.

Rear main engine oil seal is mated to the transmission so you would save on labour if you were to replace the transmission.

Check for a faulty engine mount for the clank. There are 3 of them.
