I have a 2000 Ody w/ 107,000 miles. Battery and timing belt were replaced in July 2010. Sometimes in the afternoon (outside my job) the engine doesn't turn over on the first try, more like third try of holding the key in start. I can hear it cranking, it just doesn't "catch". Any ideas??? Thanks!!!

P.S. Love my minivan, other than normal service, no complaints.

The post says you "can't" hear it cranking but the rest of it sounds like you can. If the engine does sound like it turns over as normal then watch the dash lights to see if they look normal compared to when it works. The ignition switch is known to get flaky and the security system could also keep it from starting. The last one would show a green key flashing if I remember correctly. You also should try another key. Lots of "not starting" posts on here, just search for that and enjoy hours of reading. :D
