Where do I get the tool to take out the screws that hold the IACV on my 2001 Odyssey? They are not torx or phillips and I can not get them out. Is there a possibility that only Honda mechanics are privy to that tool? Any help will be appreciated.
If yours is like the one on my 2002 Ody, which I had to replace twice in the past 18 months, it's only two 10mm bolts to remove it. It's a weird part. First of all, it's in a pain in the *** location (under the throttle body) and the piece connected to it has coolant going through it. I believe you might be talking about that. If so, you can't remove it because it's all one piece.
Take a Dremel tool and cut slots in the screws and remove with a flat blade screw driver. I had to clean my IAC and this is the easy solution. the screws will tighten backup fine using the flat blade if you are careful in cutting the notch,.
