Just headed over to the newly designed Honda of Japan website a look what I found...very nice pics of their 2002s.

Check out the new interior. Especially the new airbag and larger NAVI screen!

They now have black Lagreats. Check out the OEM bodykit.

Yep, those HIDs looks good. But the bodykit makes it look like a puffed up MPV.

The rear camera is a great idea-but the side cameras scare the heck of of me. The thought of someone watching the display versus the road is a pretty scary one.

Kinda makes you wish Honda and other Japanese auto makers provided the same options to the American market, eh?

I used to travel to Japan ALOT for work, and LOVED looking at (and driving...had my int. driver's license) the Japanse version of many vehicles. There were always such cool gadgets, features, etc.. that just made so much sense, but weren't offered in the US versions. Oh well.

Speaking of travels, I'm off to Taiwan tomorrow. I'll keep a lookout for any Odys over there!

And I settled for DEP on my 2001... Is the LaGreat manufactured in North America? If so then it can only be a matter of time 'til they offer it here... and 'til I trade my 2001.

I'm guessing it will be a 2003 SE, just before Honda comes out with the next generation in 2004.

I am not so sure if you think Lagreat is better than US Ody when you see their price.

Lagreat has two versions: Lagreat and Lagreat exclusive
1. Lagreat -- almost same as EX + NAV w/ no leather. Plus fog light, wood panel, center table?, and side mirror folding electrically. No cruise control. 3755K yen ~
$30.53K.

2. Lagreat exlusive -- Lagreat + leather/heated seat + RES + cruise control. 4155K yen ~ $33.78K.

They only have silver, white and black. No RRP, MB or green.

But is this bad? Taking the U.S. NAV price adding RES, fog lights, wood steering wheel and wood trim puts you over $33k. Then the thing has Xenon, a larger NAV screen, and external cams?????
