I need to replace the entire passenger side mirror assembly.

Here is what I did so far..I looked through the forums and am still not clear..

I took the plastic plate from the inside of the passenger door off and it reveals three screws that need to be loosened. The screws are very tight, I may need a socket. It also shows the wire going into the door side panel and that is where the connector is located.

My question is if I get a socket and loosen the screws, and pull the mirror assembly will the connector some up so I can connect the new mirror to it OR does the door side panel need to be removed to reach the connector?

Appreciate a reply soon.

Thanks.

Oops, 2 days late and you probably have this done by now.

Anyway, unfortunately you need to remove the door panel to access the wire connector for the power mirrors. :(

Thanks for this thread -
I am going to try this - we broke the passenger side mirror on our 03 last weekend -

are there any honda propriatory wiring interlocks - or are the connectors pretty standard? Can I just buy a generic replacement side mirror?
