I have a 2002 Honda Odyssey. The left rear tail light is secured with two screws and a snap-in plastic stud. The stud broke, and therefore, cannot snap into it's female grommet. Honda says that the male plastic stud, which unscrews from the tail light assembly, is not an available part. Yet, the female grommet that receives this stud is available.

Does anyone have a solution? The only solution I can think of is to have a workmate turn a duplicate out of stainless on his machine lathe.

JB Weld perhaps? JB Weld and/or duct tape can fix just about anything.

Can you post a photo of the broken part so we can visualize it better?

Thank you for your replys so far. First of all, yes two screws can hold the rear tail lights in, yet the quarter-panel end of each light gently flaps in the wind, and reasonable weather seals are lost; both of which add to a sloppy appearance. I will try to post pictures this weekend. Please keep watching this thread.

Thank you.
