I have a 2003 Odyssey LE, standard factory CD/Radio, no rear seat entertainment system. I was at a salvage yard today that has a wrecked 2003 Odyssey with the entertainment system. It had both the head unit and the ceiling-mounted flip-screen units intact.

Is it difficult to pull the system and install it in my `03? Is the wiring harness already in place? The head unit looks like it would come out really easy. I'm not sure what's involved removing the flip-down screen unit. Would I need some mounting brackets or anything?

Or would it involve transplanting a wiring harness too?

I'm not familiar with the LE, but I would wager it's a different harness. If the wrecked van is an EX with the separate DVD player in the bottom of the dash and double DIN radio, you'll need both. Honestly, it'd probably be easier to get a packaged dvd/monitor for the overhead. All you'd need is power.
