hello everybody,

I just purchased a 2003 Ody EX-L with 130,000miles on the clock.

I've done
1)new struts and shocks
2)new tires, TOYO Versado LX
3)replace one rim because it was bent
4)done alignment
5)done balancing

the steering wheel vibrates when the speed in excess of 70mph.

I thought it might be bad CV joints,
I checked by turning the steering wheel to both extreme sides and drive it in reverse and forward slowly but did not hear any knocking noise.
so i think it might not be the CV joints?

please help. i really like the van but the vibration on highway is really driving me crazy.

thanks

Richard

The Odyssey is picky about wheels and tires. Road-forced high speed balancing from a Hunter machine usually clears up these issues.

Agree on NDNV's comment about the vans being picky about wheels/tires. Try swapping the fronts to the backs (rotate tires) and see if the problem goes away or moves to the rear of the vehicle. At least that will isolate it to a wheel or tire problem versus CV joints.
