At 105k, getting ready to do timing belt, plugs, valves, etc... Been gathering info for the timing belt and motor mounts, but now I was looking at the valve lash adjustment... I have adjusted valves in many cars, from small 4-cylinder imports to mid-60's solid lifter muscle cars, so I am not worried about the procedure...

Kind of curious though, as I have heard several people mention a need to pull the intake manifold...

So, Does the intake manifold need to be pulled? I haven't even pulled the plastic engine cover, so I couldn't even guess... mainly, trying to gather the parts I'll need.

Thanks,

You have to pull the upper intake manifold, which in itself is pretty easy. May as well replace the seals while you are there and clean out the EGR port for good measure. Worth doing the valve adjustment. You'll find the exhaust ones to be a bit tight.
