OK SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON WITH THE CHEAP CHINA SEMBARASSING STOCK

I STARTED WITH THE REAR
USE A FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER TO POP THE REAR SPEAKER MESH COMES OUT EASY

SEE PIC BELOW FOR THE CLIPS LOCATIONS

HERE IS THE STOCK SPEAKER CONNECTOR WHICH YOU CAN PURCHASE A PLUG AND PLAY KIT FROM BEST BUY FOR AN ADDITIONAL $14.... I'M GONNA TO CUT THE STOCK CONNNECT AND ADD AN EXTENSION AND THEN USE A SOLDERING IRON

CUT THE STOCK SPEAKER CONNECTOR

ADDED 18 GAUGE SPEAKER WIRE THE COPPER ONE IS POSITIVE (+) AND

I ADDED 7/16 FELT PADDING YOU CAN PURCHASE @ HOME DEPOT FOR ABOUT $0.44 / SQ.FT AND I PUSH SOME INTO THE CORNER OF THE WHEEL WELL TO IMPROVE BASS RESPONSE AND YES IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE SINCE 6/1/2 WOOFERS DOES NOT NEED ALL THAT AIR SPACE FOR A SPEAKER BOX

FELT PADDING INSTALLED

I ALSO USE TAPE TO CLOSE THE SQUARE HOLE TO SEAL THE AREA

SPEAKER INSTALLED PERFECT FIT AND USES STOCK HOLES

SNAP THE REAR SPEAKER MESH COVER BACK AND UR READY TO DO THE OTHER REAR SIDE

ONE HIDDEN PHILIP SCREW ONCE YOU TAKE OFF THE WINDOW MASTER SWITCH

SIDE MIRROR COVER CAN BE TAKEN OFF WITH FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER

Sounded full range but is still lack of low bass... Plenty of mid bass and clean clean mids and not too much hi

next subwoofers and i need to amplified fronts and rearS..

These speakers are worth every dime if you ask me for a $169 upgrade..

MORE TO COME :)

Corrected the font issue in the OP.

Also, OP, Speakers = Audio = Audio Forum to prevent future locks of your threads. :)

Suggestion - buy set of plastic interior pry bars and panel removal tools for like $8 at like parts store or harbor freight instead of metal screwdriver. Also, harnesses made for plug and play of aftermarket speaker connections at like stores or partsexpress.com. I have used a product called b-quiet which is sound deadener matting for putting around doors and covering holes, and recommend it. Fiber padding ok on hatch but not recommended for doors as it would get wet and hold moisture.

Thanks... gonna upgrade my speakers soon. Gonna go grab some of that fiber stuff. I looks like good bedding materials for mice. ;P
