Both doors on my 2006 EX-L van won't close on their own. They get about 1/2 - 1/3 of the way closed, makes a beeping sound, and opens back up. Sometimes the doors seem to be chugging closed, not a fluid motion at all. To close the doors, they have to be forced from behind...a complete pain in the butt. Any suggestions before I bring it to the dealership?

There are many causes, do a search for door problems and you will find some hits.

The easiest is to check the lower track for anything that can stop the rollers. Make sure there is grease on the track.

If you turn the power to the doors off, do the doors move smoothly opening and closing? if not and you feel some roughness, this may be signs that the door rollers needs to be replaced.

*When the power to the doors is off, the doors are stil very difficult to open or close.

*I'm not sure if there's enough grease in there.

*The seal seems to be fine. It's just cracked in one area but the door passes that part every time.

*I tried the fuses as well and that hasn't fixed the problem.

<sigh>
