I just bought an '06 Odyssey EX-L. I need a spare wheel/tire. Any of you have one or know where I can get one? I can't afford to pay dealership price.

First - a couple options:

I noticed you could buy a new one for 169 at:

Depax Odyssey spare tire/rim kit

I've never used them.

you can go to car-part.com and find a junk yard one, the lowest price there was $55. Search for Wheel by picture, then choose the spare.

Second, Why doesnt it have one?

I bought the van use and it didn't come with one. Dealer told me someone must have stole it. I got a great price for the van, so spending $169 for the spare is not too bad. Thank you for the reply.

ok, just so you know, its supposed to be inside the van, on the drivers side. behind the third row, behind the plastic. Maybe they just didnt know where it was? My last van had it underneath.

I used Honda Part World last month to buy my spare when I depaxed. They are a Honda dealer in Washington State. No problems with the purchase and they shipped quickly. My shipping charge was $35 to the LA, CA area. I tried off and on for 8 months to buy a spare from wrecking yards in the greater Los Angeles area and I never found one. Same with Ebay and Craiglist. My guess is depaxers are snapping them up.

@mtbiker: yes, it's very hard for me as well, Craiglist in my area (6 different cities) doesn't have any and I looked every single day. I ended purchasing a brand new one from HondaPartWorld.com yesterday, thanks mwmcginn for the link, my total was 207 and some change, the price for the whole kit was 169.

That is so crazy that its gone, but there are a lot of crazy folks out there. I recently bought my van, but never checked the spare. I probably should.

Bumping this thread. I hope people realize that the pax-spec'd vans didn't come with spares. Even thought there is a space, a kit is required both for the tire+wheel and the hardware to mount the whole thing.
Anyone know what the bolt pattern is on the doughnut tire?

yes my problem too.. my van was apparently depaxed and spare tire is a mission to find.. might have to pay for a new one at the dealer.. idk what the price is but if they charge 7.89 for a lug nut i would not surprise to be charged top dollar.. been looking like a mad man.
