We have owned our Odyssey for 2 mos. now. Not too impressed with the navi unit. Most roads are not updated. Is it worth it to upgrade/update navi with current 2011 disk? I have found the unit under the drivers seat to install. What does it entail to install and update? Also, does the dvd player under the drivers seat play movie dvd's to the navi screen? Thinking this would win my husband over and be a nice bonus we didn't know about!! Thanks in advance for your input!!

Yes... although no navi in any car today, updated or no, is as accurate as a $100 TomTom.

And, no.

Second that ^^^ ...the updated disc is well worth the $ (unless you know how to burn one :)) but either the updates will make you happy.

The best mod we did on our van was to add the capability to play DVD on the Nav. Just search this forum on "tvandnav2go" or go to tvandnav2go.com it's a simple box that plugs into the Nav unit under the drivers seat and then runs a couple wires (power and video) up under the dash. It will take a couple hours to disassemble the console and get it all in but you will be VERY happy with it...
