On my 2008 EXL, I noticed that the buttons on the steering wheel were not illuminated at night.

For me, I could live with un-illuminated radio buttons but I was bothered by the un-illuminated cruise control buttons.

Is it the same on your van ?

The buttons on our steering wheel light up in our '05 Touring.

I checked my '10 Touring last night. Both the radio control buttons and the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel light up. Not very bright, but they are illuminated.

OP Here.

When driving at night and ambient light was from street lights, the steering buttons seemed dark (ie. not lit) and I could not read the letters on the buttons.

Last night, I brought the car into my garage.
When the garage was still being lit by the light from the garage opener, the steering buttons seemed dark. I could not read the letters on the buttons.

After the garage opener's light turned off and the garage was completely dark, I could see the letters on the steering buttons.

So the buttons were being lit, but they were VERY dimly lit.

I tried adjusting brightness via the knob on the dashboard, but there was no noticeable change.

The '08 EX-L definitely has buttons that light up. Mine do.
