Hi,

I have planned a trip from Dallas, TX to Vermont. The Nav system will only provide me with routes up through the great lakes. I can't seem to make it give me a more southern route. Has anyone been able to customize their routes and if so how?

No real way to do it. The only way that you could is to use Google maps or something to plan your route. Then pick somewhere along the route to use as a waypoint. i.e. First you tell the nav to drive to Washington D.C.. When you get there, you tell it to go to Vermont.

You might need to do this a couple times to get the route you want.

I don't have Honda's GPS but with the garmin I can plot custom routes. Look for Custom Routes or something like that. With it you should be able to plot a multipoint route. Just look on a map and decide the way you want to go and select points along the route and use them to build the route you want to take.
