Hi,

My 2010 Odyssey is having electrical issue. Dash will flicker while driving and engine dies after. But the car can be restarted without issue. The alternator has changed last year because battery warning light came on. The battery seem to be fine. I'm suspected the issue is related to electrical issue with the ECM. I have looked through everywhere under dash from driver & passenger sides. I'm not able to locate the ECM. Does anyone know where is the ECM location or any suggestion what might be issue?

Thanks,

The ECM is under the hood in front of the passenger side strut tower.

It would be highly unlikely this is an ECM issue. I would be more suspect of something like a bad relay or ignition switch. I would exhaust everything before even suspecting a bad ECM. They almost never fail on these vehicles.

You can't really fully test the CKP with a meter. It takes an oscilloscope as the CKP creates a fast signal that cycles between 0-5v. You need to get this to a shop that can hook up the scope and a scan tool and look at the signals coming out of the sensor. When you replaced the belt, did you disconnect the PCM? Is it possible you damaged a pin or pins on the computer when plugging it back in?

Honda ECM/PCM connectors are now embossed with geometric shape symbols to easily tell them apart. Connector A (white) has a square; connector B (gray) has a triangle; and connector C (green) has a circle.
These shapes are featured on both the ECM/PCM sides and the electrical harness side of the connectors. This currently applies to 2008 and later Accords, 2006 and later Civics, 2009 and later Fits, 2005 and later Odysseys, 2005 and later Pilots and 2006 and later Ridgeline models.
