First, thanks for any help. We bought a used 2010 that was a salesman's vehicle. It had 35k on it and now has 39k. D started flashing recently and at same time CEL came on. Didn't drive it further. Took it to dealer today and they said it showed P0848 -- third gear pressure switch. They test drove and said it seemed fine, and that if the light returns, the switch may need replacement. Anyone have any thoughts, expertise, experience, etc. that might bear on this situation. Thanks!!

We had a failed pressure switch around 50k miles. We would get the flashing D, but only sometimes. Then it would go away. It drove normally.

The pressure switch was replaced. Noticed a transmission fluid leak immediately afterwards. It had to be replaced again.

That fixed our problem.

(Never had the CEL come on, though.)
