Hi. 2010 Touring with 195k miles. Went to put in gear after sitting in car rider line with car idling for 40 min at school and transmission won’t engage. Then Navigation system blinks and requires security code input. Happened twice. Transmission pulls and shift perfect when running. Any suggestions? Thanks

Perhaps you have a bad battery or a loose connection somewhere?

Check battery cables and make sure they're snug. Then. Get a battery/charging system test.

To check if the terminals are tight enough you have to try to twist them to see if they will turn. Then you may find that they can not be tightened any more with a wrench, so then you need to get shims to correct the problem.

seems like charging system issue here.
Navi blinking and sec code needed = lost power momentarily.
Maybe the alternator is weak - check output. check the voltage when idling. since the power became momentary issue, check the connector as others have suggested, especially negative terminal coming loose appear to be a common issue.
