Is the spool valve leaking again? Also make sure that you understand how the Honda charging system works. There is a low charge and a high charge mode, one that keeps the battery at ~14 volts, another that maintains it at ~12 volts.

Sure is. Honda has a TSB on it, and this happens to basically all VCM-2 vehicles eventually. I believe it is mostly a design defect, as Honda says to avoid the leak returning you must replace the entire upper half of the spool valve including the two gaskets and metal plate.
