I'm new to Honda with my 2011 Odyssey EX-L w/ Navi. I've been trying to get my phone working with the HandsFreeLink Bluetooth system and am having troubles.
My wife and I have different phones (and brand). Both are listed explicitly as "compatible" on Honda's HFL website. My wife's phone seems to work just fine, no problem. My phone, however, is not.
I can pair my phone with the HFL with no problems at all. Once paired, the system works with my phone with no problems. However, once my phone is unlinked to HFL (car turned off, for instance), then I can no longer get the system to link with it again. My phone thinks it gets linked just fine on all future attempts, but the car doesn't display it as linked.
I can delete the pairing, and retry, and the same thing happens. The pairing works flawlessly. The system works fine with the phone from then on until the two are unlinked. Once unlinked, I can't get the system to link again, even though the phone indicates that it is.
Before I head to the dealer, was wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if they ever found a resolution.
Thanks for any help.
