I am aquiring a brand new 5 speed tranny out of a pilot from my good friend who is a honda tech. Honda is throwing the tranny into the garbage because the casting has porosity. I am picking it up today. The only milage on it is from getting it onto the lot.

The porosity will be JB welded, or I will replace the suspect part.

Can it be done? The obvious is the bell housing is the same, the problem will be what will control it. I have alot of research to do. Stay posted. If I can pull this off, this will be awsome.

What do you guys know about this tranny so far?

Ok here we go...tranny bolts up, but electonics are completely different from 2002-2005 oddy 5 speed tranny which I had though I would use to keep it simple. New 2011 computer has many different components that it controlls compared to the ody computer, so at this time I just left the tranny, in the crate and rebuilt my ody tranny instead.

wow...thats pretty cool, but sucks we cant do another tranny in our generation...
