This window had some problem a couple months ago where we noticed it's hard to go down and up. So we told the kiddos not to use it thinking it may just need some lube or something. Well yesterday our 5yr old son felt he needed some air and pressed the down botton. Window rolled down all the way down fine, but now it's stuck and won't come back up. Tried to roll up using the switch on the panel and the master switch and won't respond. sometimes we hear a small audible click and sometimes not.

i got the door panel removed, so any pointers on how to trouble shoot it or perhaps the motor is bad? much appreciated.

direct 12v to the connector on the motor, there is a test procedure in the service manual.

Its much easier on a PC to find items when using adobe reader and enabling the bookmarks sidebar.
appears nobody uses pc's anymore.
Also, follow the reset procedure as well before changing any parts.

You can always press Ctrl-+ to make it bigger! (I keep forgetting if it's Cmd or Option on the mac!) But then there's always the View menu!

thanks all.. yup.. was able to dig into it on a bigger screen. while doing that, i removed the door panel and then i noticed the track is a bit dry. so i put some lithium grease on and tried it and it moved up slowly. i added some grease to window track and it's still going up slowly. any suggestions on which grease to use? i tried it again after a couple hours and it's moving very slowly. thoughts?

Are you comparing it to another window to determine this? I thought my windows were moving slow, but turns out it's the normal speed when operating them with the engine off. They move a lot faster when getting the full 14 volts with the engine on.

Clean up dust accumulation: The window is stuck because there is a large amount of dust in the rubber guide groove of the window. Clean the dust with a wet cloth. 2. Rubber aging: Aging of the window rubber may also lead to unsmooth lifting and lowering of the window. At this time, use lubricating oil for treatment. Spraying on the rubber, on the one hand, can lubricate, on the other hand, can maintain the toughness of the rubber and reduce the occurrence of dry cracks. While addressing the issue of aging, it has also played a certain preventive role.

yup, when engine on, this one rolls up slower as compared to others.

i used a q-tip to check the tracks since the window was down and there was black grease and buildups. what type of spray to use to re-lubricate?

Rubber tracks? Honda Shin-Etsu silicone grease will be the ticket. Also for use on all the rubber door seals.

The window track is metal, but surrounded by rubber. i've ordered it just in case. i tried some blaster dry teflon which seemed to work yesterday but today, with engine on, the window struggles to go up.
