While learning about my new vans rear seating configuration I accidentally set the locking mechanism while the seats were stowed... oops!
The fix was pretty simple.

1. Set it up
2. Stow it
3. Set it up
4. You Fixed it!

If you're like me and need more details please keep reading:

1. Set it up - Gently set-up the seat like you normally would for passengers (even though it will not lock) it should clunk when the seat hits the floor. Be sure the seat is flat and the back rest is in the up-right position. Now that the seat "looks" ready for passengers use the seat should NOT be locked into place.
2. Stow it - Using the pull straps (this is critical) return the seat to the stowed position. This will open the locking mechanism and allow the rear seats to lock in place again. You can look into the mechanism and see the latch is cleared.
3. Set it up - pull the seat out of the stowed position and you should hear a "click" as it falls into place. If you hear a "clunk" repeat steps 1 - 3 again (I had to do this). Pull the seat back into the up-right position and ...
4. Voila! You Fixed It!
Congratulations!

I tried it a few more times just to get some practice so when this happens again I "may" remember how to fix it ?
Thank you Hog...
I traded an 06 Ody for a 2020 Ody EX last Friday. The very same thing happened to me. I thought I would check here online before returning to the Dealer. Followed steps 1 thru 3 (repeated steps 1 - 3) three times and on the last setup, there was a new clicking sound. Then it locked into place just as it was supposed to.

ThumbBuster...👍
