I'm on my sixth Odyssey. Love them. Just purchased a 2014 Touring Elite. Like it, drives nice, better mpg, love the vaccum ( I have three kids and four dogs!); it really works, but several things I do not like. The really awesome Navigation system that is so new and improved as it updates constantly, never have to purchase upgrades. Well, as the Driver, you cannot manipulate the Navi system while driving. As a passenger, you cannot manipulate the system either. You have to pull over and plug in your address!!!!!!! You might as well not even have the stupid feature. On the highway the other day, in traffic, not an exit to be seen, I was lost and needed to figure out where I was going and which exit I was supposed to get off........yeah, right!!!!!! Had to use my Iphone. Like that wasn't way more dangerous than using my large screen, touch-screen Navi system. Paid good money for that stinkin' thing and now it is useless. Also, they changed the rear view mirror. Crazy blurry edge on outer ridge of mirror. Really messes with you. Changed the speedometer look/color; looks like an old 1970- something system. Made the climate control screen monochromatic instead of the pretty blue background. Hard to read and is ugly. Same for the rear screen. Why would Honda change that? Also, cannot figure out how to get the CD music to save to the hard drive (HDD). There was something called GraceNote in my 2011 and in the manual it explained how to make that feature the default or take it off and record manually. There is not one mention of the HDD in the manual. I have no idea how to begin enjoying my HDD! Any one know?

+1 agree with you on this.

yes, safety reasons, aren't most other manufacturer's navigations systems the same? but I believe you can use the Voice commands to enter a new address when driving. I actually haven't tried it on our Honda yet, but I know the voice commands works on my Ford navi when driving so you don't have to pull over.

Honda is the last of all the manufacturer's to change the NAV. My 2012 TSX Wagon still allows you to enter an address anytime and I miss it dearly on our new Ody as well. The lawyers have spoken :).

I'm struggling to understand the HDD feature. I just bought a 2014 EX-L (no Navi or RES) today. I'm seeing conflicting information on whether this trim level has an audio HDD. I see some sites that indicate it has a 2GB HDD, but then some other sites only say that the Navi trims have the HDD.

I played a standard CD earlier today, and didn't see any indication that the disk was being saved to the HDD, so wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if the 2014 EX-L doesn't have this feature. I've been looking through the manual, but don't see any mention of a hard drive.

thoughts?

thanks.

Hmm bummer. I think you're probably right BigBoat. Also, when I play a CD there is no Artist/Album/Title info displayed. It just says "No Title". That's a disappointment.
