Was driving home today from having a trailer hitch installed and all of a sudden the CEL starts blinking as well as the FCW system, traction control and LDW systems being disabled. I ran my OBDII scanner when I got home (only about 10 miles away) and it showed misfires in cylinders 3 and 6. Idle became very rough. Last year I had to replace the ignition coil for cylinder 2 when that went bad so I thought it was more of the same. Swapped cylinder 5 and cylinder 3's ignition coils and the misfire did not follow. I did not try swapping out 6 yet. 96,000 miles and I just ordered the VCM disabling tool.
I'm thinking if not the coils then it is most likely the plugs unless the collective wisdom here has any other suggestions as I find it odd that both would fail at the same time.
