We have a 2018 Touring and recently had to replace a dead battery. After the new battery was installed, we noticed two new problems:

1. Power folding mirrors no longer fold and unfold. The mirrors don’t appear to be “jammed” because there is zero movement when the button is pressed.

2. Passenger door window and door lock buttons do not work.

I pulled the fuse for the Passenger Door Window and it was normal.

I checked all the fuse boxes and don’t see a fuse specifically for the power folding mirrors.

Does anyone know which fuse the mirrors are connected to?

Has anyone experienced issues with the power folding mirrors no longer working?

I’m at a loss and am willing to troubleshoot further before going to the dealer. Thanks!

One of the areas I really do not like trying to follow is the fuses, and what fuse location they are in.
I think that the power/folding mirrors are in the C interior fuse panel (front side/passenger side)
number 1 fuse, it calls it Meter 10 Amp.

What you show in your picture on the passenger fender side is the Power Distribution Module.

Sorry, I told you it was on the passenger side, my mistake. It's on the drivers side, left of the steering column.

Thank you. I checked the 10A “Meter” fuse and it is normal. I tried a bunch of different fuses and everything seems normal.

I’m really at a loss at why / what would cause this.

The only areas I can think of off hand as it is from your drivers side door switches is the area you are selecting (windows, locks, mirror). The harness/connectors or switches them self. Any chance you might have left the window open while it rained or drove through a car wash or spilled a drink into this drivers side door panel? I would not think these connectors would all go bad at the same time... but the switches possibly. I believe that the BCM controls all operations for these switches. It's going to be intersting to hear what you find out, but frustrating until then.

Great thoughts. Can’t think of anything recent other than the new battery being installed.

Noticed today that the sunroof doesn’t work either. I’m wondering if there is a related 30A or higher order circuit that’s failed. Such a strange problem.

@notarypro
Ok, please tell me, what is not working in your 2018 ODY Touring. Is this only on the passenger side? Will the driver's side operate everything... except the sunroof? I need to know as the wiring diagrams feed different areas and need to see a common thread. Also did this all happen at the same time?

Thank you. The following are currently NOT working and these all seemed to fail immediately after the new battery was installed:
1. Sunroof
2. Passenger door lock / unlock button (note that the lock mechanism still works via the keyfob and drivers’ door
3. Passenger door window button (window does NOT work via drivers door window button)

Appreciate any help!

If you haven't already, maybe go to an auto parts store and ask them if they will scan your Ody using an OBD2 scanner. (Usually it's free.) It "might" give you a clue as to what's happening. (Just something to try)

@notarypro
That helps me quite a bit, the door locks/mirror/windows are not separetely fused for each side of the ODY. The only that that would be is the sunroof. I will look that up but it is looking like you do not have a blown fuse. I would verify operation with a volt meter either at the switches or fuses already pointed out. I will be busy with guest over the next 2 days, so will not get back to you, unless I do not sleep in the wee hours of the morning.

If you see this, what turned out to be the problem? I’m having the exact same issues on my 2019 Elite. Thanks so much!

The same thing happened to our van. What was the resolution PLEASE?

Welcome to the ODY Forum! When asking a question on this site please state what type of ODY you have and year. It has significance for us here to help you with your ODY. Did you replace your ODY battery when this happened? Was the battery you replaced a AGM battery or a FLA battery, if it was a AGM battery and you replaced it with a FLA battery the power mirrors will not work properly. @notarypro put in the wrong battery and than put in the AGM battery to fix this problem.

Thanks so much, it is 2018 Touring sorry didn't mention. I didn't change the battery, but I did recharge it from near-zero. There does seem to be an ongoing parasitic drain which caused the depletion (which was noticeable after not driving for several days). I really appreciate the fast reply and apologize for not knowing etiquette. I can check the battery but it was not replaced, just recharged (trickle charger). I did jump it too, so was thinking it could be a fuse. Maybe the downpowering of the battery eliminated the features? There also seems to be an inability to set the remote fob to make a beep on remote locking (though the locking still works).

And I just checked the #39 fuse which is intact (in owner's manual says this is the one for the passenger window control). So odd. I also verified the sunroof didn't work either.

You will have a AGM battery, so much of your ODY like other ODYS are sensitive to battery voltage due to all the electronic cards it has. Replace the battery, if it was the original I am surprised it has worked this long, most of us only got 2.5 years to 3 years before they started to show problems. Do not get a Honda battery replacement, replace it with something else... I have probably the most expensive of the lot being a Optima Yellow top H6 battery. I do not know how long it will last but it already has exceeded the 2.5 years when I replaced it. Also make certain that your battery charger is capable to charge a AGM battery (sorry, AGM means Absorbed Glass Material and FLA is a Flooded Lead Acid battery older cars use this battery charger and you had to add water to the battery cells) A FLA battery charger will damage and over charge the AGM battery whereas the AGM battery charger is a ramping voltage charger with on & off cycles built into it, they are normally microprocessor controlled.

I know it is at least the second battery for the vehicle. Bought it used in 2021, then that battery went (in a rather urban parking lot no less) rather quickly. So I suppose we are 2 batteries over ~6.5 years, which seems to be about average...

Don't feel bad. We're on #3 on a 2019, purchased new Dec 2018, with 65k miles (105k km).
The "parasitic drain" is my kids sitting in van after arriving home, using tablets and wifi.
