Van locked itself ( in driveway)with key fob inside today.
Thought this could not occur.
Maybe key fob battery is low?
Any clue as to why this happened, and how to prevent similar event in future?

Yes the ODY will lock itself with the FOB inside of it and no one is sitting on either front seat. I do not think their is a way to prevent this from happening. You could always pull out the key from the FOB and leave it in your pocket, that way you have a way to get back into the driver's door.

Another potential is fix is to disable auto locking if possible. We disable ours so that we do not get stranded somewhere. Downside is, you do have to get back into the habit of having to lock the vehicle when walking away. We do not have a 2018+ but our Accord had auto locking which we disabled.

The owner's guide says on p. 155:
The doors and tailgate cannot be locked when the remote is inside the vehicle.
Logically, the no-lock rule should apply equally to the van's computer and to its owner.

Seems like a software design flaw...
