Outrageous, with the new Federal Law that was just passed, I believe you can sue or return

I just picked one up in IL. We found a 23 metal grey touring which someone cancelled. Could have pushed more but needed a van to replace a broken vehicle.
Trim: touring
MSRP plus destination: $45,745
Options ordered in the original order: $1800 worth of paint protection, floor mats, internal protection, splash guards, mud flaps, etc.
Total out the door (tax, TTL, etc): $50,732.

By the way, a neighboring dealer also had a sport trim sonic grey one for over $48k on the lot without taxes, doc fees, etc. So add another $3k on top of that.

Almost ready to buy an Elite. All my local dealers are at MSRP (Utah) and starting to see inventory on the lot. I think the rumor of Q4 being able to be under MSRP is strong. Especially December. Might still have to wait till Q1 2023. I had 1 dealer call me at MSRP that has 2 en-route and the buyers backed out.

Current Best offer is MSRP(50,795) + 299 doc +695 GPS?+195 door edge guard+T&L

These posts have been super helpful during my negotiations. Drove my ‘23 Elite off the lot today! Every dealer around me was $55,000+ OTD. My wife was set on a white elite, I preferred the beige interior so I shopped around using Car Gurus. I did trade in a 2020 Subaru Forester which helped with getting the deal. I wanted to be OTD at $50,000 but post-Covid market was tough.

Trim: Elite
Price Paid: $52,500 OTD
Financing: N/A
Add-ons: None
Exterior Color: Platinum White Pearl
Interior Color: Beige
Date Purchased: 12/24/2022
Location: Southern VA (drove from central NC for the deal).

You can probably get discounts below MSRP on Touring and Elite because Honda is making more of those than EXL. Just shop lots of dealers!
Bought an EXL this week at MSRP without any add-ons and a no non-sense deal in Greer SC. Also, Honda is giving two years of free maintenance, although it’s not advertised and dealers don’t mention because they try to sell you pre-paid maintenance. Don’t buy it!

Hi I am looking for EX-L and I am dealing with the same dealer. I am not sure what changed but now they are charging heck of adds ons. Can you provide details on how much you paid etc? Thanks

Inventory seems to be picking up now. Last week I had a call from 3 car dealers telling me they had what I wanted (I already bought one but wanted to see what the prices were out there). There is no MVA (market value adjustment) now so if any dealer is adding that on, tell them to go f**k themselves. The dealer add ons were still there for a couple of them, but may be negotiable.

I just bought a Blue Touring. I was disappointed in a couple things. 1. No Wireless Charger. 2. Wireless Android Auto still does not work 3. Hands free tailgate isn't included either. I paid 48940.54 out the door from Norm Reeves near Dallas. I bought the 8 year 100K Honda Care warranty online from www.curryhondacare.com for 1438.00.
Have you ever used the Honda care warranty in the past ? has your experience been good ? Does it work at any authorized Honda dealer in the nation ? In case I move after purchasing it.

Has anyone had any interaction with any dealers in the Midwest area? Going to see an EX tomorrow (the only one in the area) and I am not sure what the going prices are for the EX and EX-Ls. There seem to be more EX-Ls around. We do not like leather so want to stick with EX but some of the offers for EX-Ls are coming pretty close to the EX through my Consumer Reports/True Car request. The EXs show all "IN TRANSIT"

Also I am not a Costco member, is it worth signing up for this?

Trim: EX-L
MSRP (base + destination): $41,905
Price Paid (base + destination): $39,405 ($2500 under MSRP)
Incentives and Amount: Loyalty ($x), Military ($x), etc: None
Price Paid (out of the door): $39,289.13 ($4200 trade in, +$155 title, $151 license, taxes $3380, doc fee $347)
Add-ons (if any): Paint protector, wheel locks, winter floor mats, nitrogen in tires at no cost (originally was adding $1795, they removed it during the negotiations but kept them on the car. I also negotiated out of their $5000 market mark up)
Exterior Color: Silver
Interior Color: Gray
Date Purchased: 02/25/23
City: Chicago
State: IL

Trade in was 2007 Odyssey EX at 111k miles. They originally said $3000 but matched my Carmax appraisal. I could have gotten more if I went private but don't have the time or the energy, plus saved on some taxes and license plate (transferred).

I could have probably gotten it down another $100-$150 more but just didn't have the energy.

Extended warranty and upfront payment for maintenance service was offered but I did not buy any of those. I need to look into what's covered under the 2 year / 24k mile free maintenance (oil change, filter, tire rotation?)

PS: picked 3.9 APR for 48 months, down payment was the trade in value.

Hey I'm in Chicago too. Which dealer was willing to do $2500 under MSRP? Most I emailed around the area are still MSRP. Do you think the dealer valued your trade in for at least $6700 (4200+2500)?

2023 Touring, White exterior, Beige interior
MSRP (base + premium color fee + destination): $46,400
Discount off MSRP: - $550
Dealer "Package" (All weather mats, Cargo tray, Splash guards, wheel locks) $550
Doc fee: $225
SC State taxes: $500
Tag transfer: $51.50
Price Paid out the door $47,175.50
Date Purchased: 02/28/23
City: Spartanburg
State: SC

This dealer had the lowest fees and smallest add on package within 75 to 100 miles BY FAR. We were getting quotes for over 50k at other Honda dealers with market adjustments and stupid add on packages including things we did not want.

We put $26k down from the insurance total payout on our 2016 Ody Elite  Two cars had a wreck and pushed directly into my wife's lane. (Dash Cam for the win!!)
Such a good car and seems like such a waste for it to be totaled. The estimated repairs were over 22k

Thanks to this thread I was able to pull the trigger quickly. I traded in my 2016 for little less than the Carmax online appraisal. Out of 6 dealerships I contacted via email maybe 4 gave me the numbers which were mostly full MSRP plus taxes and fees. Luckily one dealership had a promo for $2k less than MSRP for two days (3/30 and 3/31) so I ended up purchasing there. I am assuming it was their effort to meet their quarterly sales quota. They low balled me on the appraisal ($4k less) so I had to negotiate a bit to bring it up higher.

Trim: EX-L
Color: Black
Base + destination : $41,905
Retail price adjustment: -$2,000 (dealer promo)
Trade in: $17,500
Add-ons: N/A
Dealer processing fee: $500
Title, tax, misc fees: $1705
Grand total : $24,610
City: Baltimore
State: MD
Purchase date: 3/30/2023

Without the trade in it probably would have been around $43,130.
