Just upgraded to a 2025 Elite from a 2021 Elite yesterday and wanted to let everyone know what I found about the rear entertainment system that I cannot find mentioned in any reviews. The Blu Ray player in the front console is gone and is now a pullout storage tray. The RES simply has an HDMI input and you are expected to provide a device for whatever you want to show on the screen. I wouldn’t expect this kind of cost-cutting in the Elite, but I guess Honda thinks I prefer to have loose devices and cords all over my van instead of a clean, integrated solution. The headphones and remote are also no longer provided even though the unit in the roof still has the large IR ports for using them, so possibly if I order some they would work. The aftermarket ones were always a far better deal anyway but you used to get 2 with the van. The manual says the van now allows BlueTooth connection from 4 headphones you supply, so you could pair AirPods and the like with it instead of the factory headphones that there are still pockets behind the front seats for.
I have purchased a mini Blu Ray player from Amazon for $88 that I am going to try though long term I will probably want it nicely mounted somewhere. I can report back if anyone is interested. Our family watches lots of dvds on trips.
