Someone posted this thread on Reddit that shows slight redesign of the rear bumper. Looks to be most unchanged for 2025.

Is it just me or does it look like it has no headlights?

Why the engineers? It's the body stylists that did what's in the picture!

I mean if it's a refresh then I don't see the problem. Slight changes, but nothing breaking the bank.

The Odyssey is still selling well, so they probably don't see the incentive to make sweeping changes. Even if I don't agree with the decision of going with a refresh, I can see why they would do that.

Yup take a page out of Toyota’s playbook and the 4Runner. Assume these changes guarantee at least another three years of this generation.

I'm not concerned how many Pacifica's are sold or Fleeted. I"ll never own one..... but they make nice rentals units for a few days.

Kia Carnival...... Bush league sales staff. Been to 3 dealerships and the quality of the sales staff I have experienced is lacking. I looked at Carnival when they came out. Tacky TV/monitors attached to the back of the seats. Sales people with little product knowledge asking every other sentence if I'd buy one today..... Total turn off. A sales manager came into the picture once and same thing.... "will you buy today". I told him I wanted a loaded model in a specific color, which they have none of, only base models.
They placed ahead of Odyssey in Car and Driver only because of the sub $50K list price.

A relative was recently in the market for a minivan. They cross shopped the Honda, Toyota and Kia. They ended up with the Kia. The reason was price. The kia was MUCH cheaper with Honda and Toyota still asking above MSRP in their area. Personally if I was shopping, I would pick between the Odyssey and the Pacifica, non-hybrid. I would have considered the Sienna if the middle seats were removable. The seats not being easily removed really makes it less attractive to me. I'm still surprised no one has copied stow-n-go. It's a killer feature, IMHO. Maybe now that the patent has expired, someone will copy that feature.

Personally I would probably only consider a hybrid Pacifica. Stow-n-go is IMO not at all worth it, and the hybrid Pacifica is probably the only minivan I've enjoyed driving besides the Odyssey. Comfortable, good options, and packs plenty of power.

I may be heading for my 4th minivan. However, the kids are grown, etc, etc. Consider I do keep it for a long time, I may not be able to lift the seats in and out, like when I was a lot younger. For that exact reason, the Pacifica does look good to me, also. Non-turbo engines are going extinct. And the Pacific's 3.6L is non-DI. So it's as old-tech as it comes. I think only the Honda K20 in the lower trim Civic is non-DI, non-turbo. Everything else is DI, turbo, or both.

The real reason I bought a 2018 Honda ODY was for safety. NO KIA or Hyundai would ever come close. I do not believe a Pacifica could come close either. Toyota perhaps but at the time Sienna lagged behind in improvements. I really don't think I will be returning to a Honda after the ODY starts to become unreliable. The other reason I bought it, due to my job, being called back, (retired now) and so many friends said get a Honda... they will not leave you stranded. Now after the past years with recalls and people having so much problems with transmissions, I really do not think it's the best anymore. After the extended warranty is done, I might be moving on to another vehicle, been surfing a lot, but another3 years before I need to make a change. Will not by a Hybrid or a EV,to many battery problems (fires) and working out if screens will work to operate the vehicle. Perhaps a Sherman tank will do!

I too was minivan shopping in 2018. The Odyssey and Pacifica had equivalent crash test scores from NHTSA and IIHS. No meaningful differentiation between them. Both substantially outperformed the Sienna because it was built on a 15 year old platform design.

I chose the Pacifica and still have it at 6+ years and 70k miles. It has been to dealer 3 times for recalls, and spent less than one day out of service in 6 years. Repair cost at present is $0. One minor repair I performed myself. One set of tires, a battery, and scheduled servicing so far. It’s the first Chrysler/FCA/Stellantis product I’ve owned and can’t complain about the experience thus far. Not really sure I have a point here other than it’s possible to buy a Stellantis product and have a good ownership experience. Maybe there’s a reason why it outsells the Odyssey 2:1?.

I keep seeing 2025's come up on dealerships inventory.
"In production" is the most common item listed but one on Fisher Honda lists 3.5L, so hopefully this is correct and its not a I4-Hybrid. Other dealerships list FWD, so I am assuming this is confirmation that they are not doing AWD like Toyota's hybrid rear end.

I did find it interesting that there was mention of an "Extended" trim designation on one dealerships site. Likely might be a typo, but that would be an interesting update to have an "extended" segment behind the 3rd row (think Tahoe vs Suburban and how cavernous the trunk is behind Suburban's 3rd row).

is this going to be extended version of current odyssey in Japan ? because the one in Japan has shorter wheel base.

one dealer confirmed that 2025 will be redesigned and they ordered two touring trim without any production date. He also added hybrid is a possibility.

since 2025 some honda models available, only passport, ridgeline and odyssey are 2024 but what is the common thing among all three models ? they use same chassis

The auto press has photos and some feature specs for the 2025. Only speculation on hybrid or AWD. Mostly cometic changes really, but welcome styling upgrades. They know what Honda is offering in the Pilot and this new Odyssey with be based on that new platform.

The Japanese Odyssey is an evolution of our first generation. Only made in right hand drive. Lots imported into Australia, New Zealand, and other countries that drive on the wrong side. It has not been available in Japan as of late, however, Honda is now making a left hand drive model for the Chinese market. That is also being made right hand drive, with a hybrid powertrain to be imported into Japan.

I'm still waiting for the confirmation of what tech they updated on the inside. And I'm grateful they got rid of the current Elite wheels which are not my style. We have a 2014 and had been holding out for the full redesign, but we've pretty much already decided we are taking a 2025 and then will likely swap it out for the 2nd or 3rd year of the fully redesigned one, in about 5 years (2-3 years for the redesign to come out, plus another year or two to work the kinks out.)

@Shadow5501
Do a advanced search at this ODY Forum, for accident. Those that showed what happened to their ODYs and what happened with the passengers made me happy with our choice at that time. Some accidents show how small the areas could become and totally surprised of the non-injury!

Its a minivan. You want them to spend millions updating the styling, I think its a waste of money. They need a whole new generation, and make it a hybrid that runs on magic beans or whatever the idiots in the white house are lying to their supporters about. And charge the AC with some poor performing refrigerant that emits a WW1 nerve gas when it catches fire.

Oh wait...

Its great that you purchased your Odyssey and it is also great that you made a video review of the comparison. What you are bordering on is your "Web sales of Sonoma Leather" products. I would recommend you post direct link(s) to your content v/s posting your business channel name so that it does not appear that you are advertising your wares. If you want to advertise, please get with Vertical Scope and get on their approved vendor list.
