When I pull on the 3rd row seat access knob (located near the headrest of the 2nd row seat),
the back rest of the 2nd row seat does fold forward but now the whole seat fails to slide forward. I checked all cables under the seat and everything looks good. I want to check the cables inside the back rest but cannot access it. I cannot remove the access knob. Is there a special way to take the knob out? Any ideas why the whole seat will not slide forward?
Thanks

Does it feel like something is jamming the seat in its tracks? I would pull the seat out and take a look at the undersides before removing any knobs or cables.

It's been a while since my original post. Was not really using that broken seat because the child car seat was used in that seat. But now the other middle seat is also doing the same thing. Regarding the access knob, you just have to use brute force to pry it out but if the back rest reclines, the knob and the cable attached to that is working fine. Turns out I have 2 different problems for the seats.
Remove the side cover to access the cables:

First problem was because of broken cable. The break was located inside a connector cover that splits the cable from 1 to 2 cables.
It's called a walk-in cable P/N 81363-SHJ-A01. $35 + tax at the dealer and they have to order it because not in stock. $17 + S&H at the web.

The cables on the other seat was not broken but just did not enough tension to pull the seat forward. I did not see any adjustments to tighten the cable. Instead of buying another cable, I tried to do a temporary fix. If it holds up fine, if not, I'll just order another new cable. I ended up melting solder lead to the end on of both cable ends to tighten the tension. So far, it's been working.

The new cable should arrive this weekend and the other seat will be working too.
