I just bought an 01 Odyssey. Need the rear seat folded down for more rear storage.
Seat will not fold down into the well.
I've folded the seat back forward and pressed it down to insure it's folded flat.
I've pulled on the lower plastic handle and pulled the strap but nothing happens. My guess is there may be a cable that is broken or jammed.
Anyone have any suggestions.
I searched the forum for this problem but either I am blind or no one has posted anything about this problem.

Did some more searching and found the fix under Problems & Concerns.
Fix took less then 5 minutes.

Another way this can happen....
There are a few of us who have removed the latch brackets for the back seat in order to prevent gouging of wide furniture. Be sure, if you do that, that you VERY carefully adjust the fore-aft position of the bracket when it is replaced. Watch the fit as you lower the seat and decide which way to push the bracket, then tighten it.
I forgot to do that and the seat jammed into the bracket and would not budge. Not a problem with those cables. The only fix was to crawl under the rear seat and loosen the nuts (12 mm) with a flat ratcheting wrench. It was not easy. There is barely enough clearance to get any type of wrench in there.
