At first when this van was revealed were weren't very thrilled with the looks of it. But as all things once it's out and about and you see it more and more the thing grows on you. We were 17 months into our 36 lease on our 2010 Ody Touring and as luck would have it and Honda being good with the residual/resale etc on their car, we actually had positive equity on the 2010. Got it appraised at Carmax and they gave us 29k for it. Fine with us as we owed on it was less than that. WIN.

So off I went to Power Honda in Costa Mesa and talked to our rep that has helped us on 2 previous other Hondas. Showed him the price that Norm Reeves Cerritos quoted me and the sales manager couldnt do it, he wanted to make at least 1500 on the car as opposed to under 300 if he had sold me the van at the Norm Reeves price ($40923).

So I left and went to the Norm Reeves in HB (where the car was sitting) talked to the internet guy there Larry and after some explanation on the quote he spoke with his sales manager and it was a go. I just wanted to lease it another 36months 12k/yr usual Honda lease. Car was the metallic white with the truffle interior. With 5 kids, the truffle interior was ideal for us as I was never a fan of that ivory/beige interior from the previous Ody.

2 Miles on the odometer and I was happy as can be. Did the paper work, no hassles and we were done, wife just had to come by later that evening to sign the other part of the docs and we picked it up tonight.

Hate that they drilled the front bumper on this car. Too bad they couldnt use the same mounting bracket as they do on the 2011 Pilot (fastened from underneath). Oh well.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family!! I was of the same opinion as you. When it first came out I was disappointed in the design, but then it grew on me. I have not seen a metallic white TE on the road or at the dealership yet. Two dealers I visited when I bought mine a month ago had them coming in, but none on the lot. Looks very nice, and from your picture, I think there is a distinct difference between the tafetta white and the pearl white.

Funny. My initial reaction was very similar to yours. Drove one when they first came out and couldn't get excited at all. Was actually about to buy a 2010 that a dealer in Ontario still had on his lot when they announced discounts on the remaining 2011s. I leased a 2011 EXL Res built mid year. After a month I'm nuts about it and so glad I passed on the 2010. Not that there was anything wrong with the 2010 but the new series is definitely superior. This is my fourth. Hope the kids stay young forever so that I'll have an excuse for a fifth and a sixth.....
