As stated the 13" would in my opinion be too big. The 9" fits well between the seats.

By the way dgs, how do like the Steel Horse tote? I place our TV on the floor at a steep angle for kid viewing and was thinking of getting the tote. How high up between the seats is the TV.

Thanks for the comments. I have also read earlier that they are not easy to install for the first time. I will have to weigh the pros and cons and decide to either go with the steal horse or build a unit that sits on the floor. As far as the speaker goes, we just port our audio from the headphone jack to the cassette player and play it through the back speakers.
