Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to remove and replace the a/c unit in a 2000 odyssey with a 3.5 engine please? TYVM.... Neflo

Can't help with the step by step thing; however there are several factors to consider. If the compressor has chewed itself. there may be metallic debris throughout the system. How do you flush that stuff out? If it has been open to the atmosphere, you will need to replace the dryer. Good idea in any case.

Does the new compressor come with the correct amount of oil? Do you have the vacuum pump and gauges to charge the system properly? etc. etc.

You really need to get the Helm manual. It costs about the same as only 1 hour of shop labor, and is worth every penny.

Not only does it cover all the important items Gene_CA mentions, it does it in a manner even guys like me can understand.

Hello Neflo,

I will be looking at this pretty soon myself, went to the Helm web site today, it says that they are out of the manuals for the 2002. Ordered a used manual off of ebay tonight. Have you made any progress on this ?
