My '01 Ody EX makes loud grinding/clicking noise when the AC is first turned on. I believe that it comes from the compressor but rather too loud. I have never heard of this noise from any other cars that I have driven. The dealer said that it is a characteristic of the van!!!!!!!???????? Is there anyone who has heard of this rather alarming noise?

Have heard about noisey A/C before - had to do with the idler pulley for the A/C drive belt. When the idler pulley was replaced the noise was gone too.

I have a problem, I think with the rear climate controlon my EX. Start the van, and about 5 seconds later we here a bang. Seems only to happen if the rear cooling switch is already on prior to start. Anybody have any insight into this?
