Hello there fellow odyssey owners.

Recently i started to hear a a noise right after starting the car and accelerating, but i came to find out that the noise would happen if revs were stable at 1000rpm with AC on. it would make like a rattle noise when the AC was under load. i mentioned that to honda and they told me a bearing on the compressor was causing the noise, but i shouldn't worry about it...

well, i do worry, cuz my warranty is almost out and i would like your opinion regarding this issue. should i get another opinion froma different mechanic? is it covered under the warranty?

rattling would suggest that the a/c clutch or the bearings are on their way out the door.

I would absolutely demand Honda take notice of it or at least make a record of it on your file indicating that you have brought up some concerns with strange bearing wear noises. This ways you've at least covered should something go south after your warranty expires.
