Add and Intermittent rear wiper

I have a '00 EX Ody with the continuous rear wiper. I read that the '01's come with an intermittent rear wiper. Does anyone know if this is just a different relay or if it is possible to do this on my '00?

I've been told by 2 dealers that it is a completely different wiring harness and would involve replacement from stalk to motor. I had hoped to do the same with if it was just a timer relay.

Hi Bor,

I'm not sure what would be involved trying to upgrade your 2000 model with factory parts to meet 2001 specs on the delay feature of the rear wiper. I'm sure the wiring looms are different and obviously you'd have to replace the wiper control switch. I would think the cost wouldn't be worth it.

I have seen an aftermarket delay wiper control sold by (don't shoot me!

Simply do a search for "delay wiper" and scroll down the list until you find it. Price for the basic unit was $14.95 US dollars plus shipping. The unit doesn't look that bad but I'm not sure where you'd mount it in an Ody.
