Advice on Blinking/Flashing "D" on 02 Odyssey

So I Ran an errand this AM and right when I pulled home I noticed the Flashing "D" on the van. Doing all the research on these forums has me in the dumps. I have a scheduled appt with the honda dealer in the AM. I called the local autozone and they said they could not diagnose the "d" i would have to take it to the dealership. As well since this AM my wife has driven around and done the errands all around town, with no difficulties or blinking again.
Catch: I am leaving tomorrow in the evening for a long vacation trip and will be traveling through mountains. If Dealer does not find anything would you take it? If dealer finds the sensor switches need replaced, would you do that and still take it then?

Your thoughts would be most helpful.

The alternative is 3 kids, Wife, and Me in the 95 Camry for 15 hrs..

Wait to have the code read by Honda in the morning.

Chances are if the CEL is not on as well as the blinking "D", it is a transmission temp sensor or a pressure switch.
Thanks, I'll let you know!
Running Good

Took it to a respected Transmission shop instead of dealer. They found the 4th clutch switch to be bad and replaced it along with a transmission flush. I was very satisfied with there work, , (very thorough testing)

After a 2000 mile vacation all is well. I really put it through the test on the road, driving through the ozarks and rocky/ hilly roads, all is good.

Thanks
I had the same blinking D last week on a trip on my 2002 w/100k miles. After pulling off the highway, checking the fluid level and letting it cool down it went away. Fluid all looked good, it was changed about 2000 miles ago.
Would the code still be stored if the blinking went away?

Yes. Also have a 2002, with same issue. Since I'm a computer programmer, my instincts say shut it down and "reboot". The blinking "D" went away and no symptoms. Honda read the code and replaced the same switch and no problems since.
