Has anyone out there installed an aftermarket stereo into their 2001 Odyssey? If so, can I get the details of your installation and which type of audio device you installed. The ones I keep looking at, tell me they are not compatible with the 2001 Odyssey. Thanks

I just posted a thread at http://www.odyclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=587719#post587719 showing my installation.

I think there are some pictures in other threads that show how the dash comes apart, but it isn't hard at all. You can look on Crutchfield to find radios that will work, but most will.

Thanks for the info. I think it looks pretty good. Was the wiring harness easy or a big pain to hook up?

If you have any experience soldering two wires together it is easy. Other than that it is pretty much just matching up colored wires.

I used the heat shrink tubing instead of electrical tape. If I take it out to put in the adapter for the steering wheel button, I will take a picture of it.

This guy took a picture of it here. Mine looked essentially the same minus a few of the wires.

FYI - I update my thread after adding a steering wheel control module and changing out the install kit for a better one.
